Our Facilities:
Before:
We work on the homes before a young person moves in. Location assessments are completed on all properties to look at having homes in the best locations for young people to meet their needs, these include health, education and religious needs. Our experienced maintenance team sorts out any issues before a young person moves in. Consideration is given through matching, discussions with local authorities as to how we can meet both individual needs and young people living as a group. The appropriate bedding, personal hygiene and other living equipment is sourced for the young person. Health and Safety and Fire safety checks are completed.
During:
Oasis Support has processes and policies in place to meet the accommodation standards including regular health and safety checks, room and communal area checks, and the security of the homes. Working with young people on life skills in supporting with cooking, cleaning, etc. to contribute to making their personal and shared accommodation a homely place to live. Young people are consulted about their experiences in their homes. Any feedback received is acted upon as to how best to meet, learn and improve the service we provide. Young people’s varying needs are always considered and if adaptations are required then we will work with the young person and wider professionals as to how this can best be done. Health and Safety and Fire safety checks continually checked
After:
Any skills developed or completed will be provided to the young person when they leave to evidence and support future tenancies, employment, and education opportunities.
